Jacksboro's Last Title Run Dates Back 53 Years
Tigers won their second state championship in 1971 and haven't been back since.
Jacksboro claimed two UIL state football titles in program history: one in 1962 and the most recent in 1971, when the Tigers defeated Rosebud-Lott 20-14 in the 2A championship game. That 1971 squad remains the program's last to reach the state finals.
With over five decades since that title, the Tigers are hunting for a return to championship glory. Jacksboro's football tradition runs deep, but the program will need to build on those early successes to add another trophy to the case.
