San Angelo Central chasing history 58 years later
The Bobcats haven't won a state title since 1966. This season could change that.
San Angelo Central's last state championship came in 1966, when the team won the 4A title with a 21-14 victory over Houston Spring Branch. That was nearly six decades ago, making it the program's only UIL state crown.
With that long drought in mind, the Bobcats enter the preseason with a chance to add another chapter to the program's history. San Angelo Central will look to build on that legacy this fall.
